Structural Characteristics And Working Principle

The CZ6514 is the vertical-format pulse meter for DN50–DN100: flanged, installed on vertical pipe runs where a horizontal meter cannot fit or would read wrong - risers in basements and plant rooms, skid-mounted process lines, compact meter chambers. Pulse output is the interface your existing control system already understands. The meter converts impeller rotation into a dry-contact (reed) or hall-effect pulse train - one pulse per defined volume - that wires straight into PLCs, SCADA systems and data loggers. No platform subscription, no carrier dependency, no communication module to configure. The vertical register geometry is the point of this model: it maintains rated accuracy in vertical flow orientation, where a standard meter's error grows out of spec. For DN50–DN100 vertical runs, this is the correct meter rather than a workaround. Pulse value (liters per pulse) is set at the factory per your controller's input range. For horizontal runs at these diameters, see the CZ6512 horizontal pulse line; the two share the same output electronics.

FAQ:
Q: What is the difference between this and the CZ6512 horizontal pulse meter?
A: Same pulse electronics, different body orientation. CZ6514 is built for vertical pipe runs DN50–DN100 where it keeps rated accuracy; CZ6512 covers horizontal DN50–DN500. Pick by pipe orientation, not by preference.
Q: Why does a vertical pipe need a special meter?
A: In a standard horizontal meter, vertical flow changes the loading on the rotor and the error drifts out of specification. Vertical-format meters re-engineer the register geometry so accuracy holds in riser orientation - that is what the E-suffix in the model table means.
Q: Reed switch or hall sensor output - which do I need?
A: Reed (dry contact) works with nearly all legacy PLC and logger inputs and needs no power. Hall outputs support higher pulse rates and longer cable runs with better noise immunity. Tell us what your controller accepts and we configure it at the factory.
Q: Can I mix these with wireless meters on one system?
A: Yes - pulse meters feed your controller/SCADA, wireless meters report to the platform, and the two data streams merge in your head-end. Common setup: wired pulse for the plant room, wireless for scattered outdoor points.
